The National Center for Spinal Disorders completed a 600 million forint development project in November, 2015, partly financed through its own funds and partly, through a bank loan.
The itensive care unit was completely remodeled, new equipment installed and the patient capacity increased with the addition of a number of new beds. The Radiological Department was enriched by a top category Siemens MRI thereby significantly broadening the Center’s diagnostic spectrum. A new digital patient call system was also installed to better handle our increased patient load.
“The basic objective of the project was to raise the quality of our infrastructure in every area to the level of the work found here and to increase our capacity in order to meet the increasing demands made on us. Our goal is to offer our patients the very best services for which continuous development is essential.
As far as medical technology, the renovation of the intensive care unit will now support our spine care needs at a higher level than before and the expansion and new instruments will allow us to care for more patients. Now, thanks to the new CT/MRI center, our examination spectrum is significantly wider and the waiting period shorter”, said Peter Paul Varga, MD, Director-General of the Buda Health Center.
